Did you miss the launch of the RM Roadmap project in Belgrade?

EARMA and partners were delighted to launch the RM Roadmap project in Belgrade, Serbia, September 8, 2022. EARMA is delivering this important project to support the strengthening of an inclusive research management community in Europe. Working with our partners, RM Roadmap will chart a course for the future of research management (RM) in Europe and a community to support its delivery. It will be conducted over 36 months and is funded to the amount of €1.5m. Read more and watch the launch video.
 

EARMA meets France-based members

The EARMA Board was very pleased to have the opportunity to meet with RMA community members in France. The Membership Meeting Event was represented by nineteen French institutional members and was hosted on the Campus des Cordeliers, located at the headquarters of the Sorbonne Université, Paris. We were proud to host 40 people, members and potential members, interested in learning more about the Association. Read more.

 

Welcoming new EARMA team members

EARMA has been going from strength to strength due to the support of our community. To ensure that we are able to respond to the needs of the community, EARMA has expanded the office team to accommodate this growth. This includes increasing the events management, membership and projects teams. We are very pleased to welcome our four new team members, Ekaterina, Terezia, Olaf and Michalina, to EARMA and we know that you will join us in welcoming them. Read more.
 

EARMA Conference widening bursaries available. Apply now!

EARMA is seeking to further connect with RMA community members from widening countries and is facilitating 10 travel bursaries of €500 for research managers to participate in the EARMA Conference 2023 in Prague. You can apply for an EARMA Widening Bursary until November 22, 2022. Join the team of assessors for the EARMA CRM

We are now launching a call for Assessors as we seek experienced professionals who can join our pool of Assessors for the European Certificate in Research Management. We provide introduction to the task of assessing the CRM students’ assignments, you will be paired with a more experienced assessor for your first assessment period, and we offer a small remuneration for each assignment assessed. We're moving to the new EARMA Community Platform

EARMA is transitioning to a new IT system and we are asking you to setup your profile in our new Community Platform. This new system will allow you to connect with colleagues, share best practice and engage with EARMA events all in one place.

Step 1) Click here to set up your account and follow the link to the welcome page.

Step 2) Select 'Existing EARMA member logging for the first time'.

Step 3) Go into the 'Edit Profile' area on the top right side of the webpage and ensure that your profile contains the essential information. Please complete all mandatory fields and include your country, address and VAT number where relevant.

Step 4) Scroll to the bottom of the 'Edit Profile' area and update your email preferences.

Please note that without this essential information, you will not be able to participate in EARMA conferences, events or activities. You may also experience errors during registration processes until you update or complete your profile.

We look forward to seeing you on the EARMA Community Platform and we hope to see you in-person very soon.

 

Join the next cohort of the EARMA Certificate in Research Management​

The upcoming cohort for the EARMA Certificate in Research Management and Administration is due to start October 25, 2022. This course is designed to support students to consolidate and develop the knowledge and skills required to be a successful research manager. While it is as commitment, taking part in this programme has been greatly beneficial for previous students. Find out more.

EARMA Leadership Event 2022

Are you a leader at a research performing organisation? Join us for a tailor-made program that will target day-to-day challenges and dilemmas and more strategic considerations that must be handled by you and your team, balancing expectations from rectorates, faculties, individual researchers, as well as funders and authorities. Through keynote presentations, as well as working and sharing in peer learning groups, the Leadership Event will give the participants effective ways to navigate an environment of rapid change and often with contradicting goals and directions. ERION 10th Meeting

The meeting will take place in-person in Brussels November 17, 2022. After two years of holding all activities of the ERION community online, we are very much looking forward to bringing the community together in the heart of Europe for the second time this year. The topic of the event will be "Research Integrity Promotion Plans: From creation to implementation" and registration is now open. How to Support Researchers in Writing Competitive Proposals for Pillar II (HE) workshop

Join Seán McCarthy for a course designed to train research support staff on how to support researchers in Pillar II Horizon Europe proposals. These workshops are very popular and are limited to 20 participants so please book ASAP. This course will train support staff on how to advise researchers on selecting Topics in Pillar II and how to analyse Pillar II work programs. Introduction to Change Management

Change Management (CM) is an application of a structured process and set of tools for leading the people side of change to achieve a desired outcome. This event is for those interested in post-award and especially who are actively involved in the project management process. Although mastering CM will probably need additional training, it is still expected that attendees will be able to embrace something for their day-to-day activities. EARMA Post-Award Project Management Thematic Group - 2nd exploratory event

Are you interested in Post-Award Project Management? This event is an exploratory meeting towards such a group, a forum for EARMA members involved in supporting projects and programmes based in research-performing organisations throughout their active lifecycle.
