Odense extended early bird

EARMA Conference early bird registration extended to February 29, 2024

Early bird registration for the next EARMA Conference, taking place in Odense, Denmark, has been extended to February 29, 2024, to ensure that our community has enough time to renew their EARMA memberships and avail of the reduced rate offered to EARMA members.

This year's conference takes place April 23-25, 2024, and the theme is ‘Where is RMA Going? The Future of RMA in a Rapidly Changing World' to reflect the new challenges for research managers that are appearing every day across the research ecosystem.

The EARMA Conference is Europe's premier research management event and we hope that you will join us to learn from colleagues, share best practice and make new friends in the idyllic Odense.

You can already view our programme of speakers, sessions, workshops, social activities, details on travel and accommodation on our website. Register today.

PAPM impact

Post-Award Project Management and EARMAimpact thematic groups joint event

Advancing Research Impact in Project Management Joint is an online event organised by the EARMA Post-Award Project Management thematic group and the EARMAimpact thematic group within Post-Award Project Management. The focus is often to ensure that scientific targets are met and that the allocated budget is correctly used. The conversation around impact is often forgotten or pushed towards the principal investigator and the other scientific leads. This online event will provide a broad understanding of what impact in a research grant setting means and to develop further interest in this topic. The session will take place online March 4, 2024, 11:00 - 12:30 CET. Register.

Diversity round

Join the launch of the exploratory group on equality, culture, diversity and inclusion (ECDI)

The upcoming event, March 5, 2024, will showcase a range of topics falling under the umbrella term of EDI, for example mental health, diversity in leadership, intercultural communication, understanding and handling large and varied research partnerships, but also issues connected with the debate on the Global North versus Global South, neuro and physical diversity, internationalisation of our values on diversity, among the main ones. However, many more topics can be suggested by you and included into this range so to become the common ground for all of us to engage ourselves with in this exploratory group. Register.

ERION 11th round

ERION and EARMA recommended by Slovenian ethics, integrity and gender equality handbook

The research integrity promotion plans (RIPP) developed within the SOPs4RI project, in which EARMA co-led the pilot testing with many members of the ERION group participating as pilot testers, are recommended throughout a new Slovenian handbook focusing on integrity, ethics and gender equality in research performing organisations (RPOs). Additionally, ERION and EARMA are mentioned as a “best practice” example, recommended to RPOs as a source for information, hands-on expertise, and as a vehicle to share experiences on topics related to research ethics and integrity. Contact us for future courses and mentoring opportunities

A core objective for EARMA is to promote research administration as an acknowledged profession in European Research Performing Organisations (RPOs) and Research Funding Organisations (RFOs).
