SRAI Virtual International Convention for Research Administrators (VICRA)

SRAI Virtual International Convention for Research Administrators (VICRA)

SRAI is delighted to announce the second edition of the Virtual International Convention for Research Administrators (VICRA), hosted by SRAI's International Section. VICRA II promises to be a unique and enriching experience for research administrators and professionals worldwide, and they would be honoured to have your presence.

Here are some of the key highlights and reasons why you should consider joining:

  • Date and Format: VICRA II will be conducted virtually from March 5-7, 2024. This virtual format allows you to participate from anywhere in the world, eliminating the need for travel while still offering a rich and engaging experience.
  • Global Perspective: In today's interconnected research landscape, VICRA II places a strong emphasis on practical professional development from a global perspective. It encourages collaboration and mentorship opportunities, fostering connections at regional and international levels.
  • Extended Access: All participants will have access to session recordings for six months. This means you can revisit valuable content, catch up on missed sessions, and easily share insights with colleagues who may not have been able to attend in real-time.
  • SRAI Certificates: VICRA's programme includes sessions necessary to earn the Introduction to Research Administration and Management (IRAM) certificate or the Practice of Research Administration and Management (PRAM) certificate. This offers you the opportunity to gain a valuable certificate while benefiting from the broader VICRA experience.
  • Tailored Workshops: SRAI is excited to offer a specialised International Fundamentals of Research Administration Workshop designed for early career research administrators, with a focus on those working in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). This workshop provides targeted support and guidance during the crucial early stages of your career.
  • Community and Networking: VICRA is not just about learning; it's about building and revitalising our research administration community. It provides a platform for networking, idea exchange, and the creation of a sense of belonging among professionals in the field.

VICRA II has been thoughtfully crafted to cater to the needs of research administrators at all stages of their careers and from diverse backgrounds. SRAI is committed to delivering a high-quality programme that meets the expectations of the entire research community. SRAI extends this invitation with excitement and anticipation, hoping to reconnect, learn, and grow together.
