Welcome to the latest edition of the EARMA newsletter. In this month's publication we are taking a brief preview of highlights of the upcoming EARMA Conference, taking place in the idyllic Odense. More than 1,400 research managers and administrators and research and innovation ecosystem stakeholders will gather in Denmark for EARMA's most cutting-edge conference programme ever as we explore ‘Where is RMA Going? The Future of RMA in a Rapidly Changing World’.

Below you will find information on tools to get the most out of the EARMA Conference, our exciting keynote session on AI, speak with experts at the Research Ethics Clinic, the launch of EARMA’s new strategic plan 2024-2028, this year's poster competition, the 2024 Newcomers' event, how you can meet EARMA's Annual Conference Programme Committee, the Gala vegan dinner, pre-conference workshops, social activities, participate in the Research Security Summit in Odense, find out how to get around the Odense Congress Centre, the EARMA Odense Conference Afterparty 2024 and the INORMS Congress 2025 hosted by EARMA in Madrid. In other news, we're looking for volunteers to join EARMA's Standing Committees, the 13th gathering of the ERION group will take place in Brussels, and the BESTPRAC and Post-Award Project Management thematic groups are seeking core group members.

EARMA reserves the right to charge the full fees of the conference or workshops to yourself/your institution in the case of no confirmation or a no show. Cancellations work in accordance with EARMA's cancellation policy.

Join us for a warm welcome at this year’s newcomers' meetup at our conference welcome reception that will be kicking off the conference on April 23, 2024, from 19:00 to 21:00 at Storms Pakhus, the renowned Odense street food market. The Welcome reception will be an ideal opportunity for pre-conference networking and mingling. Delegates may also pick up their badges there. Registration will open at 18:00 and will remain accessible throughout the evening. To retrieve your badge, present your conference ticket QR code and enjoy a complimentary drink voucher. We are currently seeking applications from interested individuals to join a new coordination group for the esteemed BESTPRAC thematic group. BESTPRAC started in 2014 as a COST Targeted Network that brought together administrative, financial and legal staff at universities and research-driven institutions, later then becoming a thematic group within EARMA. This current call is open to all research managers who are also EARMA members and who are interested in energising and coordinating BESTPRAC according to the terms of reference. By May 12, 2024, candidates should send a brief motivational letter (max. 1 page) outlining their interest and potential plans for actions/strategic vision within the coordination of the BESTPRAC thematic group.
