European Commission has launched a new initiative: RM COMP
The European Commission has launched RM Comp, the European Competence Framework for Research Managers. This new initiative, developed under the EU-funded projects CARDEA and RM ROADMAP, is designed to support research managers in developing key skills, fostering career growth, and aligning practices with European standards. RM Comp identifies the core skills and competencies needed for effective research management. It provides a structured approach to career development for individuals and organisations, offering a consistent standard for roles across the European Research Area. More
RM FRAMEWORK kick-off event took place in February
On February 11, 2025, the EU-funded RM FRAMEWORK project was launched during an exciting and encouraging kick-off event in Brussels. Fruitful discussions and insightful presentations took place on the vision and the project as part of a broader R&I agenda in Europe. This initiative aims to support the development of a European qualification system for Research Management, enhancing interoperability and strengthening the profession across the European Research Area. RM Roadmap Train the Trainer: Pedagogical Training Course for Research Managers
NOVA University Lisbon is organising the RM Roadmap Train the Trainer: Pedagogical Training Course for Research Managers. This online course aims to equip research managers with essential pedagogical skills to design and deliver effective training in research management. Through four interactive sessions, participants will gain practical expertise in instructional design, active learning strategies, and assessment methodologies. Successful participants will receive a certificate of participation. This online course starts on March 27, 2025. The application deadline is March 14, 2025. More

Update on the status of Switzerland in Horizon Europe

EARMA Travel Grant: Support for Your Professional Development
EARMA members are eligible to apply for a €500 grant to assist with travel expenses related to professional development visits or participation in conferences/events organised by RMA bodies recognised by INORMS and EARMA. Examples include ARMA-UK, SARIMA, and NCURA. Applicants must be EARMA members in good standing, and the proposed activity should contribute to their professional development.
