Developing Horizon Europe Grant Application Section per Section with AI Support

Target audience: Research Funding Support Managers, Grant applicants and actors in European R&I Funding programs.

What you will learn: You will have the opportunity to master how to build successfully each of the three sections in an Horizon Europe grant application with the support also of free AI tools. The training mainly focuses on collaborative projects from Pillar 2 (RIA and IA) but many principles can be applied in other Pillars including Widening.

No matter what is your experience in European Research, you will master how to develop successfully  but also fast via the AI the core elements in each of the three sections of the grant application (Excellence, Impact and Implementation).

Workshop content:

  • Module 1: How an outstanding Excellence section could be built in a Horizon Europe grant application using also AI
  • Module 2: How an outstanding Impact section could be built in a Horizon Europe grant application using also AI
  • Module 3: How an outstanding Implementation section could be built in a Horizon Europe grant application using also AI

What to expect: Examples based on AI tools and templates from successful practices on the core elements of each of the three sections ( e.g. Formulation of Objectives, Elaboration on Methodology, Strategies for achieving expected outcomes and wider impacts, Dissemination and Exploitation Strategy, Workplan approach with emphasis on means of verifications/milestones, Risk plan, budgeting the proposal, Experience of the consortium)

 

Profile of the Presenter:

Nikolaos has a multidisciplinary education with 5 University Degrees (B. Eng, B.A, M.Sc., MBA, PhD). He is an evangelist of lifelong learning and he lately completed his PhD on student engagement in online courses. After his undergraduate and postgraduate studies with distinction as an engineer in London (Imperial College, City University), UK, has been working for a number of consultancy and Information Technology companies as a consultant and project manager across Europe. For the last 25 years, he is involved in supporting the planning, managing and evaluating of European R&I projects. As an R&I coach, he has supported thousands of individuals and hundreds of organisations from all over Europe and beyond on managing European R&I funding (and receiving support for deploying their research idea or mission). He intends to prove that anyone can become a great proposal writer or a project manager of European R&I funded projects through proper guidance, training and coaching. For the last 20 consecutive years, since 2003, he has been an expert on behalf of the European Commission on evaluating and reviewing projects and proposals. He is the creator of the Funding Expert Transformation Process™ system that can lead to a successful proposal writer and project manager of European funded projects.
