Event details

Stress is something that is affecting us all and living through a pandemic meant that research managers and administrators (RMA’s) needed to adapt quickly to new expectations. While it’s recognized that we all tried to fit in more (after all, we were saving time from commuting), working without regular pauses at faster pace is not sustainable. This is because our bodies have a natural rhythm which is disrupted when we are stressed or when we try to keep up with lots of expectations.

Stress causes tension in our minds and bodies, creating an imbalance. To reduce stress, we first need to develop awareness, because stress can become a habit and like all habits, it could be hard to kick. Through a series of breathing and relaxation techniques, we will show you how to recognize tension in the body and mind and how to deal with it. By implementing these techniques, RMA’s will feel more grounded, focused and as a result more productive, creating positive changes to their working lives.
