EARMA Odense conference 2024: Your guide to the 2nd Conference Day, 25 April 2024

The second day of the EARMA Conference 2024 starts with the opening announcements and the keynote session, "From Practice to Policy — Shaping the Future of Research Management Together", at the Odense Congress Center (OCC) in the Denmark room. Parallel sessions start at 11 am and continue until 5:00 pm. Just before our lunch break, we invite everyone to join us for the next Keynote session, "Why are we here? Stardust and planets". At 5:00 pm, we will close the Conference 2024 with the Closing ceremony and Poster Awards. 

In the following, we will endeavour to answer questions we assume you may have:

Shuttle busses:

08:30 - 10:30 EARMA Bus stop - Odense Congress Centre

16:00 - 18:00 Odense Congress Centre - EARMA Bus stop - Please make sure to return your badge before entering bus when leaving the conference.

 

Badges & Lanyards: Please remember to return your badge before you leave the congress center. 

Post-event email content: In the post-evet email, we will be sending the conference presentations, instructions on how to download the certificate of attendance, and some of the conference photos.

How and when can I pick up my badge?

At Odense Congress Center from 9:00 am. Please make sure to have your QR code conference ticket, received via e-mail ready to scan.

👀 Interesting things to do around the conference center: 

  1. Games: Have you tried the 4 games/ activities on the blue round carpets in the exhibition hall already? You still have all of today to do so :) 

  1. Photobooth: Make memories at the Elsevier photobooth in the exhibition hall at stand number 5.

  1. Posters: Visit the Poster room and vote for your favourite poster presenter. You can vote by Thursday, 25 April 2024, 2:30 pm CEST. The poster with the most votes will win the Poster Prize and be announced at the Closing Ceremony on Thursday, 25th April 2024, at 5:00 pm CEST in the Ballerina room.

  1. Escape hunts: Meet Philip in the lounge area in the middle of the exhibition hall and get introduced to our three exciting escape hunts

  2. Ethics Clinic: If you have any questions for Dr. Dorian Karatzas, the Head of the European Commission's Ethics and Research Integrity,- feel free to meet him in our tiny house in the exhibition hall from 11:00 - 12:00.

  3. 1-on-1 meetings: Benefit from the Brella - conference matchmaking app and book your own 1:1 meetings.

  4. Partner game: Get your free conference ticket for 2025 by meeting our partners and diving into the fairytale world of Hans Christian Andersen to win the partner game.

 

👀 Interesting sessions to not miss on 25 April:

  1. Opening Announcements and the Keynote session on "From practice to policy — shaping the future of research management together​" from 9:30 - 10:30 in Denmark room
  2. Mid-Day Keynote session on "Why are we here? Stardust and planets" from 12:00 - 1:00 pm in the Ballerina room
  3. Closing Ceremony from 5:00 - 5:30 pm
  4. Each conference session has been "tagged." You can use the filtering options, and create your own personalised programme in the Brella app or the Brella web version. To do so, simply go to the top right corner and select your preferred tags. Note: The abstracts with the highest score have the specific tag "FLAGSHIP".

@Speakers: 

Please visit the "Presentation Upload Room" to ensure your slides were received correctly. This room will be open for all Conference Speakers from 8:00 on Wednesday until 16:00 on Thursday. We want to clarify that it is the speaker's responsibility to ensure that the presentation is uploaded correctly.

If you are chairing a conference session, please review the conference program and filter your name under the "speaker" option to see your schedule throughout the conference days. 
The briefing meeting is scheduled from 9:00-9:15 on Thursday, 25th April, OCC – at the Group Space Room (1st floor). For more details, please refer to this document.
