Launched in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Virtual Event Grant (VEG) is designed to inspire innovation and creativity in the planning and execution of virtual events. This grant has been continuously successful since its inception and we're excited to see the unique ideas you bring to the table this year.
Call status: Open
Scope and objectives
We encourage you to think outside the box. Whether you're planning a workshop, seminar, or any other type of virtual event, we want to hear your innovative ideas. Be imaginative and be daring. The only requirement is to adhere to our standard travel award selection criteria. Additionally, we're interested in how your proposed event will bring value to both organisers and participants, and how collaboration with other organisations can enhance the event.
Funding details
For 2024/2025, we have allocated a total of €1,000 to support either a collaborative event by a small group of institutions or two separate events hosted by individual institutions. Applications for smaller amounts are also welcome, as this can potentially fund more projects. Funding can be used for design, promotion, delivery of a virtual event, or fees for external speakers. Please note that staff and overhead costs are not eligible.
