Nicosia Risk Forum 2022 #NRF2022 programme update

Nicosia Risk Forum 2022 #NRF2022 programme update

Nicosia Risk Forum, since 2018, is a merging point for Civil Protection the area of South-Eastern Europe, which brings together academic, industrial, governmental, policy and other societal stakeholders with a significant interest in societal safety.

This year’s theme of #NRF2022 will focus on “Challenges of the Effects of Climate Crisis”. As disasters have always been and will always be part of our lives, the way societies respond to them is certainly of critical importance. However, preventing such disasters from occurring, preparing for their possible occurrence, and mitigating their potential effects, is a matter of life and death. In these testing times, we have experienced unprecedented international initiatives to provide support to affected countries. Manmade and natural disasters will continue to occur; societal safety and national security become an absolute necessity and international collaboration a supporting net.

Man-made and natural catastrophes know no borders and the aim of this year’s #NRF2022 aims to be the catalyst for the promotion of innovative actions and initiatives fostered by governmental organizations, universities and research organizations interested in promoting societal safety.
