Brussels, August 8 2025 – The European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA) is honoured to assume the Secretariat and Chair of the International Network of Research Management Societies (INORMS) for the period 2025–2027.
This transition follows the successful INORMS Congress held in Madrid in May 2025, hosted by EARMA, which brought together more than 2,200 research managers and administrators (RMAs) from over 67 countries. As the new INORMS Secretariat, EARMA will provide leadership and coordination to support the network’s strategic development and collaborative activities throughout this term.
EARMA Chair Dipti Pandya and EARMA Treasurer Dr Christian Bonnici will serve as Co-Chairs of the network, working closely with the INORMS Council and its member associations to advance shared goals. The incoming Secretariat will prioritise consolidating sound governance practices, reviewing existing operating principles and working groups, and co-creating a refreshed INORMS strategy aligned with the evolving needs of the global RMA community.
Looking ahead, EARMA’s leadership will focus on reinforcing the foundations of the network, reflecting the global diversity of all our member associations, with an emphasis on transparency and inclusiveness, while remaining responsive to new challenges and opportunities. Supporting emerging associations and facilitating the sharing of best practices across the membership, while ensuring the sustainability of INORMS, will be key pillars of this work.
“As we take on this role, we do so with a renewed sense of purpose. With INORMS’ global membership growing, it’s time to reflect on how the network can best support the changing needs of our profession. From just 7 founding members, INORMS has grown to 27 member associations, reflecting the widening reach and relevance of research management worldwide. Our role is to ensure the network remains relevant, responsive, and representative of the full diversity of its members.” - Dipti Pandya
EARMA is committed to supporting and collaborating with the INORMS community and looks forward to working with all member associations to shape the next phase of the network.
