EARMA 2025 General Assembly: Leadership Confirmed and New Board Members Elected in Madrid

On May 6, 2025, the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA) held its General Assembly at the Industrial Engineering School in Madrid, coinciding with the pre-Congress day of the INORMS Congress Madrid 2025. The event brought together EARMA members from across Europe and beyond to discuss the association’s strategic direction, celebrate recent achievements, and conduct vital elections that will shape its leadership for the coming term.

A key highlight of the assembly was the re-election of Dipti Pandya as EARMA Chair. Returning for a second term, Dipti received strong support, a testament to her effective leadership and the confidence she has inspired during her first term. Her re-election promises continuity at a time when the research management profession continues to evolve across Europe.

In addition to the Chair’s mandate, members cast their votes for three new Board positions. The successful candidates—Ignasi Salvado, Joana Porcel, and Harald Hasler-Sheetal—bring a wealth of experience and fresh perspectives to EARMA's governing body. Their election signals a renewed commitment to expertise and the shared development of the research management field.

With the INORMS Congress Madrid 2025 providing a wider global stage, the timing of the Assembly further underscored EARMA’s active role within the broader research management ecosystem.

As EARMA continues to grow in both scope and influence, the outcomes of the 2025 General Assembly in Madrid mark an important chapter in its ongoing development—anchored in stability, enriched by new voices, and driven by a common vision for supporting research excellence through professional leadership.
