Broad experience in Research Management? Join the team of assessors for the EARMA CRM

Closing Date for Expressions of Interest: October 30, 2022

We are now launching a call for Assessors as we seek experienced professionals who can join our pool of Assessors for the European Certificate in Research Management. We provide introduction to the task of assessing the CRM students’ assignments, you will be paired with a more experienced assessor for your first assessment period, and we offer a small remuneration for each assignment assessed.

The general qualifications of assessors are:

• Current expertise in the units they are assessing
• Ability to provide detailed, balanced feedback to learners
• Availability in the relevant assessment periods and ability to meet the assessment feedback deadlines

We also expect assessors to:

• Commit to maintaining the quality and integrity of the EARMA qualifications
• Disclose any conflicts of interest
• Keep material confidential
• Will seek second opinion when in doubt, facilitated through the ARMA office
• Maintain good communications with the ARMA office

Assessors are appointed for a renewable period of three years. If you want to submit your expression of interest, please send us a statement comprising a CV, which CRM unit(s) you are able to assess and outline why you find yourself qualified. Details of the units can be found in our brochure.

Expressions of interest will be reviewed by EARMA´s Development and Recognition Committee and decisions reached by mid-November.

The EARMA programme for the Certificate in Research Management (CRM) is a collaboration with the British Association of Research Managers and Administrators (ARMA). Contracts will be issued by ARMA to new assessors in preparation for the Induction for new assessors’ online session which is expected to take place in December 2022.
