Would you like to get more involved in EARMA? Why not apply to join one of the Standing Committees.
APPLY NOW!
(Deadline for application: 18:00 CEST 7th September 2021)
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join the EARMA Standing Committees and help with the continued improvement of the organisation and its services to members.
If you would like to become more active within EARMA, the follow Standing Committees are now looking for new members:
The Finance & Governance Committee (FAC): This committee monitors the financial affairs of EARMA. For members with finance and audit experience.
The Awards Committee (AC): This committee makes recommendations to the board on the EARMA Awards. For those dedicated to ensuring best practice with regards to awards.
The External Relationships Committee (ExRC): This committee makes recommendations to the board on opportunities for collaboration and positioning of EARMA with international networks. For members who are interested in assisting EARMA with the operationalisation of the Strategic Plan.
The Board, in collaboration with the Standing Committees, has established formal terms of reference for each committee. These can be found by clicking on the above listed Standing Committee link. The terms of reference provide details of the purpose and scope of each Standing Committee.
Members are appointed for a one or two-year term as determined by the Board.
In general, the Standing Committees meet as often as required to complete their work and deadlines. The majority of the meetings are remote via teleconference. However, one face-to-face meeting (FtoF) may take place each year according the Standing Committees needs and objectives.
You will be expected to take on responsibility in the Standing Committee for tasks, to ensure the successful delivery of the objectives as specified in the above-mentioned Terms of Reference.
Normally, a Board member or substitute is the Chair of the Committee. Where this is not the case, there is a Board representative on the Committee to ensure a good flow of communication.
While it is important that critical expertise gathered previously within the Standing Committees is not lost, the Board is keen to provide opportunities for other members to get involved. Consideration will be given to expertise, gender and location when appointing members to committees.
Accordingly, the Board are now inviting members of the Association to help with the work of the Association by joining the Standing Committees of the Board.
Applications should be completed no later than 18:00 CEST 7th September 2021.
