New Insights on Training and Career Development from the RM Roadmap Co-Creation Process
We’re pleased to share the outcomes of the third co-creation session conducted as part of the EU-funded RM Roadmap project. This session, focused on Training and Career Development Frameworks in research management, brought together voices from across Europe to define what’s needed to support the professional growth of the RM community.
A total of 34 consensus documents were submitted—28 from national communities and 6 from thematic ones—each providing detailed insights into the training structures, needs, and aspirations of research managers across diverse contexts.
From this wealth of input, the RM Roadmap team has developed a summary report capturing shared priorities and highlighting areas for future action. These outcomes are essential as the project continues to shape a Europe-wide strategy for strengthening research management as a recognised and sustainable profession.
The report and all individual country and thematic contributions are now available on the RM Roadmap website.
The RM Roadmap project is funded under the Horizon Europe programme and coordinated by a network of stakeholders committed to advancing research management through collaboration, co-creation, and consensus building.
