Introduction
We are excited to announce the inaugural EARMA Invited Speaker Award 2023, designed to facilitate the inclusion of esteemed speakers at your events, both virtual and in-person. This initiative is part of our continuous commitment to enhance the quality of events and promote professional development within our community.
Scope & Objectives
The Invited Speaker Award aims to support events – be they meetings, workshops, seminars, or webinars – that demonstrate a clear benefit to participants and align with EARMA's objectives and strategy. We are particularly interested in proposals that leverage innovative techniques for effective content delivery and collaborations that broaden the scope and depth of the event.
Funding Details
EARMA provides funding of up to €500 per event. This funding is intended to support the engagement of distinguished external speakers. Funds can be utilized towards securing speakers, design and production of digital content, and modest costs related to equipment or supporting materials. Staffing and indirect/overheads are not eligible costs.
Eligibility & Deadlines
Applicants should have a minimum of two years’ experience in Research Management and Administration. Current EARMA members in good standing are eligible to apply, provided they have been members for at least the previous membership year. Board and Award Committee members, and members who have received grants in the same or consecutive calendar year, are not eligible.
Applications must be submitted by 17:00 (CET) on Monday July 10, 2023.
Selection Criteria
The Awards Committee will evaluate applications based on the following criteria:
- Alignment with EARMA's mission: EARMA's Mission
- Contribution to professional development and current work in research management and administration
- Effectiveness of measures to publicise the event and disseminate knowledge gained
Each criterion carries equal weight.

Evaluation & Notification
All applications must be received by 17:00 (CET) on Monday July 10, 2023. Applications will be evaluated by the EARMA Awards Committee, and recommendations forwarded to the EARMA Board for review. Awardees will receive written notification of the decision once ratified by the EARMA Board.
