Eurac Research (https://eurac.edu) is a private research organization based in Bolzano/Bozen, Italy. Our research institutes and centers are seeking answers to global challenges through interaction between a variety of disciplines: keeping societies healthy, fostering intact environments, promoting sustainable energy and developing well-functioning political and social systems. We develop concrete solutions for regional problems which can then be applied globally. 

The Research Support Office RSO (https://www.eurac.edu/en/research-support) assists ou researchers in the ever-changing international scientific landscape and across the entire research lifecycle, with a view to maximize success in research funding, support early career researchers and participate in developing policy issues around research impact, ethics and integrity, gender and Open Science. We support the involvement of Eurac Research in national/regional, European and international research collaborations.

RSO is working in close partnership with researchers as well as colleagues from Legal Office, Procurement, Human Resources, Accountancy and the Library to achieve operational excellence in research support. We provide a comprehensive range of support in the pre- and post-award phase of externally funded research and consultancy projects. The Research Support Office also monitors the development of European research policies and funder requirements to ensure that our researchers are always informed and well prepared for funding success and that the relevant institutional processes and workflows in Eurac Research are up to date.

We are looking for a new team member to support our services as Project Assistant. 

 

Tasks:

  • Supporting the RSO in the preparation of project proposals and the (financial) management of projects:
  • Collection of information and documentation for project proposals (e.g. administrative, legal, financial and budget related information, collection of signatures)
  • Compilation and checking of administrative documentation
  • Compilation of application forms
  • Use of online tools provided by the funding programmes for the submission of project proposals and the management of projects
  • Administrative interface with national and international project partners, registration of partners in online tools
  • Other administrative support related to project proposal preparation and project implementation, such as applying for and closing of national project codes (CUP); keeping administrative documentation of Eurac Research up to date; requesting relevant documentation at the Court/Chamber of Commerce
  • Keeping the RSO website, project database and intranet documentation up to date
  • Quality check of project database

Requirements:     

  • Very good knowledge of English, written and spoken
  • Very good knowledge of Italian, written and spoken; German, welcome 
  • Very good computer skills (MS office packaging, data processing programmes, online tools, etc.)
  • Capable to work autonomously and under pressure of deadlines 
  • Very good planning and self-organisation skills
  • Extremely structured and precise working abilities
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Enjoy working in a team and delivering a service to our colleagues
  • Friendly and self confident

Conditions:

The position is a full-time position (possible also part-time 80%) and is initially limited to a period of one year, with the perspective to be extended to a permanent contract based on performance. 

The position is to be filled as soon as possible.

Place of work is Bolzano/Italy.
