Abstract

Introduction:

Who has not experienced submitting project proposals poorly prepared! So; how can we, as research managers and administrators (RMAs), help the proposers to develop the project idea? Our ambition at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences (INN) is to offer workshops where we explore and work with the development of project proposals. The process will be facilitated using recognized tools.

Tools:

The EU initiative at INN will provide excellent project ideas with good growth conditions. Research groups are offered courses, support and workshops. The aim is to motivate and facilitate the work with project applications to Horizon Europe and Creative Europe. The goal is submission of competitive project proposals.

Our workshops are inspired by experiences drawn from the entrepreneurs, who has a culture for sharing their ideas on how to work with innovation and business modelling, and from our RMA colleagues, being kind to show their tools and practices. Design thinking, by using well known tools, is adapted to research project development.

We would preferably be involved early in the process, starting with project idea development and ending with a thoroughly thought through proposal. We expect that researchers and other relevant participants contribute actively to the process.

By building up these in-house services we hope to add value to research thinking!

Our presentation will show bits of how we work, the tools we use and how we have improved our services. We hope to further share our experiences and learn from other RMAs succeeding the EARMA conference.
