EARMA Conference Odense 2024

Format: Oral 20 Minutes

Topic: IT Systems and tools supporting RMA now and in the future

Abstract

Being located at the heart of the Brainport region in the Netherlands, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) has a strong focus on innovation and economic development, powered by strategic partnerships with industry and ground-breaking collaboration initiatives. Research Infrastructure (RI) is a key enabler for cross-sector collaboration and innovation; therefore RI is a central component of the university’s research strategy, and as such it requires a streamlined, evidence-based management approach.
To implement this, TU/e has partnered with solution provides such as Clustermarket, to implement an institutional equipment booking and management system, and Elsevier, to integrate equipment data from Clustermarket into their Research Information Management System, Pure, and automatically track publications enabled by the equipment, leveraging an AI-powered analytics pipeline that scans the full text of scientific publications.
The combination of all solutions into a fully integrated system will enhance RI sharing, which improves their sustainability and further contributes to their impact, but it also increases research reproducibility and fosters interdisciplinary research, while enabling an evaluation of the return on investment and better showcasing of the RI on the institutional research portal.
In this presentation, we will discuss the use cases, the solution that is being rolled out, some examples of the results and future developments.
