Abstract

CEPSIT – Center for European Projects, Cooperation, Innovation and Tech Transfer is a new structure uniting Project centre, Technology Incubator and Tech Transfer office under one roof in the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STUBA). The idea and the need to change the organizational structure was born at the beginning of 2022 after deep investigation of processes, practices and not satisfying results in the field of European projects and research management. After long 2 years of discussions, legal preparation, planning and replanning CEPSIT is ready for the operation as of 1st of January 2024.

In this poster we will present the long road to CEPSIT and what motivated us to take that journey. It will include the main findings of how the processes worked (or didn’t work), the biggest challenges among the way, our strategy, and the perspective future.

The aim of this poster is, first of all, to inspire others to work together, not to be afraid of change and to constantly search for a better way. The practice shows us that research management is no more only about grant writing and implementation, but also about Innovation, Tech transfer and much more.
