Abstract
Translating research data into an attractive story is difficult for most researchers. In order to do this writing skills, tools and practice are needed. It is important for researchers to be able to structure their storyline to show the importance of their envisioned project and to find the right balance between what they want to say and what the audience wants to hear. Storytelling can help researchers in achieving this goal.
This presentation will give a brief introduction into storytelling techniques and how research managers can teach these techniques to researchers. This will lead to better grant applications, abstracts, pitches and other forms of communication.
By teaching research managers how to use and teach storytelling techniques to researchers at their institute we enable researchers to better structure their communication outlets and also enable them to better show the impact that their projects can make in their respective field and for the world.
