Abstract
For a university thinking about the limits of its research future and how to fund it, it is interesting to know how the European Union thinks and does.
This introduction shows how the EC prepares the new and tenth research and innovation framework programme 2028-2034 (FP10) and how you can influence the development process.
The development of this new framework program started in 2022 according to a tight schedule until 2028. The first step refers to evaluations of the completed framework programme 2014-2020 and the base will be EU internal data, input from the field and thematic studies. Secondly working groups will draw lessons from all evaluations. Only after the EC will start writing the new FP10. Ultimately, the EC submits a proposal for the FP10, after which the member states and the European Parliament must negotiate a final agreement. RMA professionals can participate in this development process, learn from it, influence it and by doing so improving the users friendly qualities of FP10. This introduction shows the when and how or the public affairs opportunities for RMA professionals..
