Invitation to submit abstracts: Widening and Deepening of the RMA Profession

29th Annual EARMA Conference Prague, April 24-26, 2023

The 2023 Conference will take place in the Prague Congress Centre. The Annual Conference Programme Committee (ACPC) and the EARMA Board are now inviting submissions for oral and poster contributions for parallel sessions. The theme of the conference next year will be Widening and Deepening of the RMA Profession. The theme covers both geographic widening as well as professional widening and the concept of deepening relates to the professional developments of RMAs in Europe and beyond.

The success of the Conference depends on the content of the programme to be presented over two full days in 2023. We are inviting you to add to the content provided by committed RMA colleagues from around the world. The presentation topics must be of interest to the extended RMA community, however anybody may make a submission (not limited to EARMA members). The ACPC encourages new speakers, collaborative abstracts between organisations, countries and widening country participants to submit their abstracts. Subjects outside of the usual areas of RMA work and leadership abstracts are requested by both the Board and the ACPC. Also, interactive sessions and topics around post-award and project management are wanted according to the feedback of last conferences. Bursaries will be made available for some of the accepted speakers.

The topics include EARMA and professional associations; Impact; International; Leadership; Open Science, Responsible Research & Innovation; Organising Support Services & Team Building; Policy, Strategy, Evaluation and Foresight; Professional Development and Recognition; Proposal Development; Project Management; and Research information systems (CRIS).

ACPC asks you to give three possible formats to your abstract so we can build a balanced programme and the committee reserves the right to offer any of those or even outside the requested formats.

Abstract submissions will be open from August 18, 2022, to September 23, 2022.

The European Association for Research Managers and Administrators' (EARMA) annual conference is Europe's premier Research Management and Administration (RMA) conference that attracts usually well over 1000 RMAs from Europe and beyond to share best practice and learn from each other. It provides an unrivalled opportunity for research managers and administrators to meet, network, share their experiences and exchange knowledge within the members from over 40 countries.

The 29th Annual EARMA conference is proudly organised by EARMA with the support of the Czech Local Organising Committee. This committee brings together representation from many key organisations working within the Czech research and administration community including the Czech Technical University, Charles University, The Technology Center of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Alevia, Vedavyzkum.cz and Prague AI. Through this local committee we are excited to explore all opportunities to better establish the profession of research management and administration within the Czech Republic. We warmly invite the EARMA community to Prague.
